Default Parameters for AppVolStorageTest The VMware App Volumes Manager relies heavily on the storage (datastores) for connecting to the AppStacks and Writable volumes that hosts the applications and other files. Unavailability of a datastore or the lack of storage space in a datastore can severely hamper the operations of the virtual desktop and can consequently delay the boot time of the virtual desktops as the applications will not be attached to the desktop. By keeping constant tabs on the space usage of each datastore managed by the target VMware App Volumes Manager, this test proactively alerts you to potential space contentions on a datastore. This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the AppVolStorageTest test.
When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz*” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
