Enabling/Disabling DD

To make diagnosis more efficient and accurate, the eG Enterprise system embeds an optional detailed diagnostic capability. With this capability, the eG agents can be configured to run detailed, more elaborate tests as and when specific problems are detected. To access this page, click on the icon available in the Admin tab. Then, select the Enable/Disable DD option from the Tests sub-menu in the Agents tile.

Using this page, you can enable/disable the detailed diagnosis capability for specific component-types. To achieve this, do the following:

• First, select the Component type of interest to you.
• All the tests mapped to the chosen component-type, which support the detailed diagnosis capability, will then be listed in the DD Enabled Tests list.
• To disable this capability for a test, pick that test from the DD Enabled Tests list and click the button. Doing so will disable this capability for that test across all components of the chosen component-type.
• If you want to re-enable this capability for any test, then pick the test from the DD Enabled Tests list and click on the button. Doing so will enable this capability for that test across all components of the chosen type. If need be, you can disable this capability for a specific component alone, by setting the Detailed Diagnosis flag of the test to Off, in the Agents - Tests - Specific Configuration page.
• Finally, click the Update button to register the changes.

Note:

This page will appear only if the following conditions are fulfilled:

• The eG manager license should allow the detailed diagnosis capability.

• The bad and normal frequencies configured for the detailed diagnosis measures should not be 0.
