Measures reported by HBladeSWModLEDTest The Hitachi Compute Blade 500 contains four switch modules. Each switch module comprises of a power LED, a status LED and an identify LED. These LEDs visually notify the administrators to various power state changes, alarms, status updates and location of the switch modules. With these visual notifications, administrators can easily find out health of the switch module. In addition, the occurrence of failures and anomalies inside the switch modules are notified by the LEDs. If any of these LEDs fails due to physical damage, fuse failures or abrupt voltage fluctuations, then, the administrators will be deprived of visual notifications. This will leave the administrators unaware of the state changes and issues in the switch modules at the earlier stage and thus causing serious problems to the switch modules. Therefore, it is imperative that health of the LEDs should be closely monitored to figure out abnormalities (if any). The HBladeSWModLEDTest test aids the administrators in this exercise! This test reveals current status of each LED on the switch module and colors illuminated by the LEDs for notifying various events. The measures made by this test are as follows:
