Measures reported by IbmStorwizeEncSlotTest

This test reports the status of the ports that are present on each of the Enclosure slot provided on the IBM Storwize v7000 storage device. Further, this test reveals the information on whether a drive is inserted into this slot and if so, reports the ID of the inserted drive.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
port1_status Indicates the current status of port 1 on this Enclosure slot.   This measure reports the status of the port 1 as follows:

  • online
  • excluded_by_drive

    • The numeric values that correspond to the above-mentioned Measure Values are as follows:

    Measure Value Numeric Value Description
    online 1 The port is online
    excluded_by_drive 2 The drive excluded the port

    Note:

    By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned states while indicating the status of the port 1. However, the graph of this measure will be represented using the corresponding numeric equivalents of the Measure Values as mentioned in the table above.
    port2_status Indicates the current status of port 2 of this Enclosure slot.   This measure reports the status of the port 2 as follows:

  • online
  • excluded_by_drive

    • The numeric values that correspond to the above-mentioned Measure Values are as follows:

    Note:

    By default, this measure reports the above-mentioned Measure Values while indicating the status of the port 2. However, the graph of this measure will be represented using the corresponding numeric equivalents of the Measure Values as mentioned in the table above.
    drive_present Indicates whether/not a drive is inserted into this Enclosure slot.   This measure indicates a value Yes if the drive is present and a value No if otherwise.
