Configuring Layers for a New Component Type

This page enables the administrator to associate/dissociate layers for the component type under consideration. The page appears when the Config layer button against a component type in the INTEGRATION CONSOLE- COMPONENT page is clicked.

• The administrator can see all the layers that are currently associated with this component type in the ASSOCIATED LAYERS panel on the left hand side.

• The associated layers will be listed in the top-down order. The layer model of the component available in the monitor interface, will also list the layers in exactly the same order. If you modify the order of appearance of the layers using this page, the same will be reflected in the eG monitor interface, and will impact the correlation process of the eG manager. Select the layers and use the Disassociate >> button to disassociate the layers. 

• All the other layers registered with the eG system are displayed on the DISASSOCIATED LAYERS panel on the right hand side. Select the required layer and use the << ASSOCIATE button to associate the required layer with the component type under consideration.

• Click the Update button to register the changes being made.

The Back button enables the administrator to go back to the previous screen.

Note:

While associating the HOST layer (if any) with a component, ensure that the HOST layer is the lowest layer of the component's layer hierarchy.
