This test reports the I/O operations performed on each mdisk of each node present in the IBM Storwize v7000 storage device. In addition this tests helps you to identify the mdisks that are slow by analyzing the average time taken by the mdisk to process the read/write requests, the maximum time taken by the mdisk to respond to a read/write request and the cumulative time taken for a read/write request to be processed by the mdisk.

This page depicts the default parameters that need to be configured for the IBMV7000MDiskTest.

• The TEST PERIOD list box helps the user to decide how often this test needs to be executed.

• Specify the duration (in seconds) beyond which the test will timeout in the TIMEOUT text box. The default value is 30 seconds.

• Once the necessary values have been entered, clicking on the Update button will register the changes made.

When changing default configurations of tests, the values with “$” indicate variables that will be replaced by the eG system according to the specific server being managed - for instance, $hostName is the host/nickname of the target host, $port is the port number of the server being monitored. E.g., for a server xyz:80, $hostName will be changed automatically by the eG manager to “xyz” and $port will be changed to “80” when configuring a test.
