Database Properties
To know which database your eG manager is using for storing configuration and measurement data, take the help of this page. To access this page, click on the icon available in the Admin tab. Then, select the Database Properties option in the Miscellaneous tile.
The details displayed in this page include the following:
Whether the eG database provides support for double-byte characters or not.
The vendor of the database server that hosts the eG database
The host name or IP address of the database server
The port at which the database server listens for requests from clients
The name of the database that is used by the eG manager
The SID of the eG database (in case the eG manager is using an Oracle backend)
The name of the database driver
The name of the instance used by the eG manager (in case the eG database is being hosted by an MS SQL server that uses named instances)
Whether the database server is SSL-enabled or not (in case the eG database is being hosted by an MS SQL server)
The name of the database user using whose credentials the eG manager stores and retrieves performance/configuration data from the eG database
