eG Monitoring

Measures reported by OraZFSDiskStTest

This test monitors the level of traffic on each physical disk and helps isolate irregularities in load balancing across the disks. Alongside, the test also helps identify which disk is experiencing bottlenecks (if any).

Outputs of the test: One set of results for the Oracle ZFS System device being monitored.

The measures made by this test are as follows:

Measurement Description Measurement Unit Interpretation
avgDiskIOPS Indicates the average disk I/O Operations Per Second during the last measurement period. IOPS

utilByDiskMax Indicates the maximum disk utilization. IOPS

The detailed diagnosis shows the number of disks, IOPS, and when read requests had hit peaks.

peakReadIOPS Indicates the number of peak read operations during the last measurement period. IOPS

The detailed diagnosis shows when read requests had hit peaks.

avgReadIOPS Indicates the average read IOPS during the last measurement period. IOPS

peakWriteIOPS Indicates the number of peak write operations during the last measurement period. IOPS

The detailed diagnosis shows when write requests had hit peaks.

avgWriteIOPS Indicates the average write IOPS during the last measurement period. IOPS

diskIOBytes Indicates the average data transfer rate during the last measurement period. MB/sec

peakReadBandwidth Indicates the peak read bandwidth during the last measurement period. MB/sec

The detailed diagnosis of this measure lists the users who have consumed maximum bandwidth along with their timestamp to perform read operations.

avgReadBandwidth Indicates the average read bandwidth during the last measurement period. MB/sec
